Everything on this server in the order you will actually need it. Five minutes now saves a lot of wandering.

1Pick a role

This is the first thing to do and the easiest to miss. A role is your path through the server - it unlocks its own quest line, its own gear, and perks nothing else grants.

Run /roles in game to read what each one does. To take one, accept that role's trial job from any trader - that is what starts the line.

Read first: your choice is permanent.

Without a role most of the content below stays closed. With one, the server starts handing you things to do.

2Learn the two currencies

Knight Caps come from killing zombies and buy almost everything. Meat Tokens come from converting raw meat and buy animal taming.

Both balances sit at the top of every page once you sign in.

3Get a base down

Every new player is given a Starter Base Kit on first join - check your bag. Place it somewhere flat and open, away from other people's land claims, and it builds you a house.

You only get one, so do not place it somewhere you will regret. Bigger prebuilt bases are on the store page.

Claim it with a land claim block. Inside your claim, /sethome gives you a teleport back to it.

4Move around

/home returns you to your bed. /trader goes to the nearest trader. /setwaypoint and /waypoint are your own saved spots. /return undoes the last teleport.

They cost Knight Caps and have cooldowns. /teleports shows what you have.

5Join an event

Events run on their own all day - King of the Hill, treasure hunts, house clearances and world events. /join teleports you to whichever one is running, whatever it is.

They are worth doing: the last wave drops supply crates and calls in air drops, and the top killers get rewards.

6Survive a blood moon

Every seventh night the horde comes. Kills are counted, and at 6am the server names the night's best killer and puts fireworks over their head.

Want it harder? A Horde Block from the store spawns extra waves scaled to your level, wherever you put it.

7Tame something

Put raw meat in a registered Trader Crate, run /convert for Meat Tokens, then /tame a wild animal. Bears, wolves, boars - they follow you and fight for you.

/pets lists yours. /heal fixes one up.

8Make money

Sell to other players on the market, place bounties on people who keep killing you, and claim the daily vote reward - voting is free and pays well.

/bounties, /market, /claimvote.

8bCast something

Every player has mana. /cast fire, lightning, earth or water hits the ground ahead of you - or swing a staff (Fire, Storm, Stone, Tide) and every swing casts, faster and cheaper. Your role's two elements cost a third less.

Mana comes back on its own, from every zombie you kill, and from Mana Potions brewed at a Potion Stand in Agartha. The elements react: water then lightning arcs, earth then fire shatters, water then earth is mud.

Your staff is given, not made: finish your role's trials and Trials 5 is a five-step quest of your own, walked with the Lost Knight - /quest always shows the next step, and the Order's purple candles read it to you. On step four, on the altar in Agartha (/agartha), he hands you your staff - Storm Staff for Paladins, Tide for Royals, Stone for Thugs, Fire for Jesters. That opens the Arcane Trials: a Lesser and a Greater Orb that make it hit far harder. The Arcana perk (Intellect) makes every spell bigger, and your role's tome (Terra Rampart, Sovereign Tempest, Flame Sprint, Chaos Bolt) is yours for good once read.

The Arcane Path - everything about magic →

8cAnswer the radio

The radio is the story: the Order, the Scourge and voices from Agartha come on the air at random, and the Order whispers to you in your own discipline's voice - listen to it and it tells you where to go next. The radio →

When it crackles with a fortress, the Scourge's Black Fortress is up: a stone keep in the field, five waves and a Warden. /join takes you there. Each role has its own objective - Paladins hold the gate, Thugs break the horde, Royals hold court with an ally near, Jesters cast - and /siege mine shows yours. Meet it and survive to the end: 500 caps and your role's tome.

And when you die, a Soul Echo stands up where you fell, wearing your name and your role. Anyone can put it down; only you are paid for it - caps, XP and a Soul Relic.

9Everything else

/help lists every command, grouped. /commands on this panel is the same list in a table you can search.

Stuck? Report it from the panel, or ask in Discord - someone is usually about.
